To shape the future of how Canadians improve fitness and enhance movement by combining the highest level of evidence based exercise, manual therapy and rehabilitation services to our customers.
The KIN Studio was never supposed to happen. In a time where heavily financed rehabilitation clinics and multi-million dollar gyms with rows of shiny equipment and valet parking dominated the Toronto health and fitness market, a young man with a strong heart and a clear vision was waking up every day at 4:45 am to train clients and fold towels at a local gym because in his heart he believed one day he would give people more. His name was Alex Allan, and after a decade of achievement, study, sacrifice, and practical experience, he became a Registered Kinesiologist, and suddenly, the “more” he had dreamt about years earlier became apparent.
Alex noticed that many of the clients who came to him to get in shape also had previous injuries, and muscular imbalances needing repair. They wanted to increase fitness, decrease pain, and not get hurt in the process. The KIN studio was founded to balance these goals at the highest level possible. Our combination of advanced fitness expertise and complex injury management fills a huge gap in the Canadian wellness industry, between personal training gyms and traditional physiotherapy clinics. The KIN Studio is alive and well, 16 years later, offering proof that many different types of currency can fund success and positive change.
